In this weeks chapter of “Easy Like a Sunday Morning….” we hear from Claudia from Greenfox Bakery who is definitely worth a follow on all the socials producing some amazing content about all things cake design and baking, all the links are at the bottom of the article. We have it on good authority as well that their cakes are delightful and yummy. So without further a do, over to you Claudia.
Tell us a little about yourself…
I’m Claudia, and I’m a born and bred Londoner. I couldn’t imagine living or working anywhere else! I am the founder and head cake designer at Greenfox Bakery, which is a luxury, bespoke cake designing service for every occasion, plus we make brownies and brookies. I’m so lucky in that my hobby has now become my job – I worked in the corporate property world for around 10 years before I decided to take the plunge and run my own bakery.
What does your Sunday morning routine look like?
Being a baker I work a lot of weekends, so my Sunday morning routine really depends on any industry events that I need to go to, or cakes I need to deliver/ set up. If I don’t have any of those things, Sunday morning is usually the day where my fiancee and I get to lie in and one of us will usually bring the other a coffee in bed whilst we watch an episode of our favourite TV show (at the moment this is the new season of Ozark). We then tend to get up and find a nice spot for brunch in our local area.
What is on your Sunday morning playlist?
There is a playlist on Spotify called Sweet Soul Sunday which we both love at the moment.
How do you take your coffee (or preferred morning beverage)?
Sunday Brunch? What does it look like?
Eggs and something delicious with it. I’m a big fan of poached eggs, hash browns and sausages – there is an incredible spot in Brixton called Blank and they do phenomenal brunches which involve all of the above. And cinnamon scrolls. The best i’ve ever had.
What song/album do you never get bored listening to?
What song can you not stop listening to right now?
What is the favourite room in your house and why?
We live in a 2 bed flat so there aren’t that many rooms to choose from! I would say our living room is my favourite room. We have the comfiest sofa and there’s no nicer feeling than sinking into it, getting all comfy cosy.
What is your favourite piece of furniture you own and why?
Again, our sofa because i’m all about comfort 🙂
What is your current Sunday morning reading material at the minute?
Instagram! Haha i’m not much of a of a reader.
Thanks very much Claudia for taking the time out of your day to answer our questions. We hope our readers enjoyed a small snapshot into your lazy, or sometimes not so lazy Sunday mornings.
